- Stanley Yelnats is a 14 year old innocent boy who is shy, awkward, and he always gets picked on at school by other kids, but you see Stanley yelnats comes from a long line from Stanleys.

- One day as Stanley was walking suddenly a pair of shoes fell down from the bridge and landed on stanley.

- when he he was holding the shoes he started to run but the police arrived and arrested him on the spot for stealing shoes.

- Since Stanley was the one caught with the shoes he was given a choice to go to jail or camp green land, and he decided he wanted to go to camp green land.
- On the bus was only Stanley, the guard and the bus driver. As they were getting into hours of driving, Stanley started to notice that they were driving into like a desert.
