Storyboard Text

  • Then Let us go downstairs.
  • Oh you blessed little goose
  • Im not gaining much by being here
  • Why darling, our lease will be up in 3 weeks. And i don't see how we can leave before.
  • The Narrator seems skeptical about the house due to how cheap it is
  • What are you doing with the paper?
  • The paper stains everything it touches.
  • The Narrator is not liking the hideous yellow wallpaper at all. And it’s even worse for her when she has to sleep in a disgustingly weird room. She asks her husband, John, if she can go downstairs for another room. John acts weird though and treats her like a child
  • In the scene, the narrator is prancing around the room looking at the wallpaper among other things. She wakes John up and things it’s as good time as any to bring up her disliking of the room. John acts very uncaring towards and says that there’s still time left on the lease.
  • In this scene, it becomes more evident that the narrator is becoming more insane because of the wallpaper. She worries of others touching it or even looking at it. Jennie in the situation though was trying to help her because the wallpaper is doing damage on anything it touches.
  • In this scene, the reader really questions what is happening to the narrator because of how she is now having hallucinations of other people. This helps thicken the plot due to how her appearance has also changed due to the insanity consuming her
  • The narrator has obviously gone insane. She has gone insane to the point that her husband faints from seeing her at the end of the story. I feel that the narrator did end up killing Jon and continued to peel the wallpaper, since she has obviously gone insane.
