- A pair of good friends, Daniel and John, met up for a weekend camping in the forest 20 kilometers away from town.
- On the way to the camp, these two people found an unknown bird in a tree.

- To figure out what the bird was, Daniel took out his phone and opened the mobile application, using the scanning function to recognize the bird.

- After a failed identification, the application popped up an information collection form, encouraging Steve to upload the description and location of the bird to the community.
- The community can see this bird online and they agree that it could be a new species.
