  • The child is trying to discover trust and distrust.The mother gives him his favorite toy, giving him the feeling that he can trust his mother since at that age we depend on our parents (from birth to 18 months).

  • Industry vs. Inferiority
  • At this stage, the child gains some self-control/autonomy over his or her person. In this image we can see the child choosing his own clothes. (from 18 months to around 2 or 3 years)
