Storyboard Text
- Long before man or animals roamed the earth there was just darkness and a very large seed
- When the seed sank into the earth, long reeds (uthlanga) began to grow
- I am Unkulunkulu, the first man and creator of all things
- Slowly, one reed turned into a man, he was named Unkulunkulu. The heavier he got the faster he fell off
- As he strolled through the earth he noticed other men and woman forming off the reeds.
- He pulled off many creatures and created streams, wind, rain, the moon, the sun, lakes and valleys
- He taught the men and women how to dress, make fire and hunt
- The chameleon carried his mission too slowly so Unkulunkulu impatiently sent a speedy lizard to the world with a message that death was on it's way!
- Unkulunkulu sent out the languid chameleon out to the world with the message that his people will never die
- When the lizard beat the chameleon to the first people they died shortly after and it has never left mankind
