  • William Pitt, Prime Minister, 1757
  • Britain and France were disputing over the Ohio River Valley, a piece of land abundant in resources. This expostulation led to a years-lasting war between the two European powers.
  • Conquest of Quebec, 1759
  • The British requested assistance from the Iroquois to vanquish their adversary the French, at a meeting in Albany. Though, the Iroquois determined they would remain neutral. Meanwhile, Albany delegates attempted to unite the colonies but failed.
  • Time for a Treaty, 1763
  • William Pitt, Prime Minister, and military strategist sent more troops to fight for the colonies. Pitt postponed the colonists ´ taxes and won key battles in the war.
  • Britian´s Prolific Policies, 1763
  • Quebec, New France´s capital was besieged by the British, who then combatted and defeated the French on the Plains of Abraham. This was a prominent sign of France´s defeat in America.
  • The Treaty of Paris was enacted in 1763 so that France was requisitioned to give Britain some of its lands in North America. This was the denouement of France as a power in America.
  • The Proclamation of 1763 was enforced so that the British could easily could control the colonists, who were perturbed by this act. The Proclamation demanded that colonists had to pay taxes and have less freedom of movement. This sowed seeds of discord between the colonies and Britain.
