- Mr. Sloth – “Alright kids to kick off todays show and tell about you guys celebrate Christmas Claire will be going first.”
- good afternoon Mr. Sloth!
- Mr .Sloth - "As you all know Christmas is coming up, and I have decided for your last project you guys can create stalls of how you and your family celebrate Christmas. You will present your stalls tomorrow."
- Clair- "Mr. Sloth? what if we are not religious?"
- Mr .Sloth - "That is alright Claire, just show us how you and your family celebrate Christmas. How about we start with you tomorrow?"
- Good afternoon class!
- (4)Katrina – “But Claire it’s not just about the gifts, like what about spending time with your family?"
- (3) Claire – “I love Christmas because I get lots of presents but yeah, I suppose.”
- Claire (1)– “Hi my name is Claire, and my family and I are not religious. But we celebrate Christmas like everyone else; Lots of presents, Christmas tree, gingerbread, and lots of yummy food. My family and I often spend Christmas with my cousins at my Nan and pops house.”
- (5) Claire – “Um…well yeah but I look forward toSanta bringing me presents.”
- (2) Mr. Sloth – “Wow Claire, you and your family must love the spirit of giving on Christmas.”
- (6)Mr. Sloth – “POE you are next!”
- (5) Mr. Sloth – “Claire different religions have different ways of celebrating events; you will learn lots about that today. Thank you, Poe, for letting us see a small glimpse of how you celebrate Christmas or Bodhi Day.”

- (1) Poe – “Hi I am Poe; my family and I are Buddhists Christmas to us is called ‘Bodhi Day.’ For us we celebrate Bodhi Day by eating cookies that are shaped like hearts, these match the leaf of a fig tree, but we do decorate tree’s like Christmas for others.”
- (3) Poe – “Um…no we don’t.”
- (4) Claire – “That sucks!”
- (2) Claire – “So you don’t get gifts?”
