- A conversation about Clouds turns into a big arguement and "Roast contest" between Esperanza, Nenny, Lucy, And Rachel. Nenny just continues to name each of the clouds in the sky while her sister and friends are arguing and having a fight.
- Meme Ortiz's family rents their basement apartment to a Puerto Rican family. The family's son Louie is a friend of Esperanza's brother. And Louie's cousin "Marin" lives with them. One of the main events that happened was Louie's cousin got taken away in a police car and put in handcuffs.
- Esperanza and her mom and dad and brother and sisters moved on a whole different street. The street is called "Mango street". They moved into a brand new house on mango street. Where Esperanza makes new friends whos names are "Lucy" and "Rachel". They start new lifes in a brand new house in a brand new neighborhood on "Mangpo street"
