- All we want is to live in our native land.
- Welcome to the Amazon Rainforest! These are the Native Amazonians! They have lived here for hundreds of generations
- Get your cattle off of my crops you idiot!
- In the 1960s the Government encouraged settlers to go farm in the Amazon Rainforest. Giving them lots of land to get back on their feet.
- The Cattle Ranchers also came and clear cut the trees so that their cows could graze. They are one of the main causes of deforestation. As you can see these 2 groups do not get along.
- What makes you think it's your land?
- TIMBER!
- Loggers also came to the Amazon. They chop down the trees to make things like paper and furniture. This is a huge cause of deforestation. But a big source of the government's income.
- Get your own tree!
- These are the environmentalists! They want to preserve the rainforest so they can study all of the unique wildlife!
- The rainforest is so important for scientific research because of its biodiversity
- The last group is the Rubber Tappers. This group came in the 1870s so they could tap the rubber trees to make different rubber products.
- We even cut the trees in a special way! That way it is a sustainable development
- !!!
- The Amazon Rainforest is one of Earth's most important features. It is one of our main sources of oxygen!

- But with so many groups occupying this land it causes many conflicts!
