  • Oliver (on the left) is talking to Roland (on the right). Olive is saying he believes the army is close to them, and they shall prepare to fight. Roland responds by saying he is ready for the fight, and so should Oliver and the rest of the French present.

  • Oliver (on the hill) spots the army and alerts Roland. Roland responds and explains he will not lose his honor and reputation. He will fight to the end for France.

  • As the army is getting ready to begin the battle, the Archbishop prays God for the troops and France.
  • Roland (top of hill) gets the army ready to attack. Oliver then states how it is not the other part of the army's fault. They should fight on no matter the circumstances.
  • Oliver over hears a Duke yell those words, and it fuels his wrath. He shatters the Duke's shield and kills him.
  • Roland kills many soldiers, fighting for his life on the battlefield.
  • A King whose name is Corsablix announces to the Saracens of how little French are left.

  • Roland's body exhausted and beat up lays on the side of a hill. He blows his horn to let Charlemagne know what has happened to them.

  • Charlemagne hears the horn from Roland, and proceeds to blow his in response. He gathers the rest of the Frenchmen, and they prepare for battle.
