- Julian worked a 9-5 desk job. He would often have to stay late, and was allowed one break, which he spent quickly eating his lunch. He never worried about workplace safety hazards because in his eyes, he didn't work a hazardous job. He developed a tremendous pain in his back, which caused him to lose sleep.
- Z Z Z
- It turns out, he had developed a hunchback. With sitting the whole day and playing horsey with his daughter, his back stood no chance. He did not communicate with his boss about this pain, he was scared he would get fired. When he was hired, he was not warned how uncomfortable the chairs were.
- Bro! Have you SEEN Julian's hunch back?! I didn't know we were in the movie "Hunchback of Notre Dame"
- Quasimodo will never find another wife looking like that!
- The bullying...didn't stop. This effected his home life, his work, and his social life.
- Hahahha! How many inches have you lost to the hunch eh?
- Julian couldn't handle any more. He was in physical pain, he was depressed, and anxious to go to work. When his daughter finally noticed something was wrong, that's when he knew he needed to fix the problem. It was time to reach out to his supervisor.
- Papa! Papa! What's wrong?
- After Julian took advantage of his rights, and his supervisor took the correct administrative and engineering actions to prevent hazards, Julian found his life looking up. He no longer had a hunchback, started sleeping again, and was much happier. He even became friends with his previous bullies!
- Sorry Julian!
- Ugh! Fine. I'm really sorry Julian.
- Julian, I am deeply sorry about the conditions of this work place, and most of all, that you didn't feel you could come to me with your problems. I will order a standing desk for you, and a proper, more comfortable chair. As for you BOYS, bullying is not, and will NEVER be okay. You are both suspended for a week with no pay, and will be taking an anti-bullying course.
