- After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
- The three women were stunned and couldn't talk. Then the angel once again told them: "Then go quickly and tell his disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of them into Galilee. There they will see Him.’"
- “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen."
- So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
- "Greetings! Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
- They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.
- Suddenly, Jesus met them...
- Jesus has risen. Go to Galilee. He will meet you there.
- The disciple can't believe what they heard. They were all shocked and surprised. They are wondering how did it happen because they were witnesses to the pain of Jesus when he died.
- Jesus appeared to them. They were astonished and can't believe what they were seeing. Jesus rebuke them for their lack of faith.
- Why do you warry? Why do you lack faith and refuse to believe those who had seen me after I was risen?
- “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
- The disciples felt sorry.
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
