  • Women were stereotyped and were seen as unfit to do manly things. Their jobs consisted of being midwives, dressmakers, servants, or nurses. But only 12-13% of women were employed in 1920. (Sharon S Atkins 2016)
  • The 19th amendment was passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women, the right to vote (US 2021).
  • Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton formed the women's suffrage movement in 1848 to 1918. (US 2021)
  • However now, women are able to have many different jobs. Women can work as Managers, Office workers, Construction workers and more! 57.4 percent of women working participant in labor force! (US 2021)
  • Also,  a case regarding the 19th amendment was the Lenet vs Garnett case. On October 12, 1920, Cecilia Streett Waters and Mary D. Randolph were granted the registration to vote. ( Lenet et al, Garnett et al, 1920)
