- The First Battle of Bull Run
- The battle of Gettysburg
- Abraham Lincoln was sworn in as president. Many people saw this as a threat since he was against slavery. South Carolina seceded, causing a chain reaction of 6 other states to secede.
- The Seige of Chattanooga, Tennessee
- The very first battle of the civil war was the battle of bull run. This battle was fought in Virginia and won by the confederates.
- November 19 1863, Lincoln delivers the gettysburg address
- The battle of Gettysburg happened July 1-3, 1863.This battle involved the most amount of casualties of the entire civil war.Between 46,000 and 51,000 casualties. The union won after the three days.
- President assasinated
- September-November 1863 Braxton Bragg and his confederate forces surround the city. The Union and The Confederates then fought several battles in the surrounding area.
- This speech was said to be very influential. Lincoln gave it at the soldiers national cementary. Lincoln talked about the signing of the declaration 87 years earlier. He also talked about america being concieved in liberty.
- Lincoln was at a play when john booth shot him in the head. Booth then jumped from the booth and yelled some words. Lincoln was taking to nearby help but ended up dying anyway.
