Storyboard Text

  • Let's talk about bears! Grizzly bears, polar bears, and American black bears! Can you tell me about them? How do their furs look? What do you think they eat?
  • Now, close your eyes. Imagine the bears; where each of the bears live and how do they live. Once you finish, talk to one another.
  • I know they not mainly eat fish, but seals too.
  • I think grizzly bears live in big forests and eat salmon! Black bears too.
  • Polar bears could live in the arctic.
  • Black bears live in forests, and eat rodents and insects. Where three of the bears live is called "habitat" to them. Their survival.
  • Polar bears live through cold climates such as this picture right here on the board. They eat fish, seal, crab, birds, salmon.
  • Class, grizzly bears live in North America, Alaska, Canada in National Parks. They eat sheep, bison, mule.
  • Now class, you'll split in three groups. Grab construction paper, with outlines of the three bears. Create the bears habitat. Be sure to include food and water as well!
  • Bears live in their own environment because it is about their survival.
  • Turn in your assignment. What did you learn? What did you learn about differences in their environments? Why is it important live in their own habitat?
