- What did he mean, about the noise?
- ACT ONE SCENE TWO PG10-13, Arrivals, 1942Mrs. Frank just arrived at the annex and she is really confused about staying on top of the building without no one knowing.
- First, let's take off some clothes.
- Now about the noise. While the men are in the building below we must be completely quiet! Every sound can be heard from down there not only in the workrooms, but in the offices, too!
- Ok, but how much time do we need to be quiet for ?
- The man come about 8:30am and leave about 5:30pm
- Mrs. Frank is starting to be really scared because there's a lot of people in the annex which makes it easier for people in the building to discover them
- This room is also our bedroom!
- That is our bed!
- And where do you and Mrs. Frank sleep?
- Mrs V.Daan is worried of where Mr.Frank and Mrs. Frank are going to sleep.
- Please. I've thought this out for weeks. It's the best arrangement. The only arrangement.
- That isn't right. Me and Mr V.Daan will sleep here and you take the room upstairs. It's your place!
- Mrs V.Daan is feeling guilty because is Mrs. Frank and Mr.Frank place and she and Mr V.Daan got a better room than them.
- You don't know how your husband helped me when I came to this country-knowing no-one-not able to speak the language. I can never repay him for that!
- Never, never can we thank you. I don't know what would have happened to us, if it hadn't been for Mr.Frank
- Mrs V.Daan is thanking Mr.Frank for letting her, Mr V.Daan and Peter stay with them and Mr.Frank is also thanking them for helping him when he moved to the country.
