Lets say Theoretically The Moon and the Earth were way farther apart then they are now

The Moon would orbit around the Earth way slower as well as having a higher likelihoodof floating away by being hit by something asteroids loose metal ETC.

Now lets say Theoretically in this situation the Earth and Moon are way closer together.

The Moon would at some point crash into the earth and cause impending doom with over a few billion deaths. The water would be pretty weird and probably overlap Europe and several other continent

And Thats why we need gravity momentum and the moon or we'd all be dead.
