- no, I don't have my phone with me. i was just asking.
- well, here, you can give me the password to your account and I'll log in on my phone and do it for you.
- Nah, I really shouldn't do that. Sharing passwords isn't safe.
- well why not? Is it dangerous?
- yes. very. sharing passwords with your friends could lead to you getting hacked. "trusted friends" are no exception. you have no idea what people's intentions are once they have that kind of personal info.
- oh. well who is it safe to hare a password with??
- usually no one. you safety is even iffy when it comes to sharing your password with your parents. medias like Snapchat, FB, and IG are easy to hack into once you've logged into it on the device
- how??
- because once you log into your account on someone else's device, the credentials are usually saved. so when you leave, that person can log in and out of yours and their account. That's why you always make sure to log out when you are done using the device and better yet, do not share passwords at all.
