- Matthias Schleiden, Theodore Schwann, and Rudolf Virchow are proponents of the cell theory.
- My name is Robert Hook, and I'm an England Scientist. When I looked at a specimen under the microscope, it appeared to have compartments, almost like the cells that monks live in, so I coined the term "cell".
- Hello! The name is Robert Brown and I am studying at England and also I am a scientist now. By discovering the nucleus, I helped to advance cell theory.
- My name is Matthias Schleiden, and to my right is Theodore Schwann. We are both German scientists who collaborated to reach the conclusion that all cells are alive.
- Hello, the name is Rudolf Virchow. I came from Poland and a scientist. I contributed to cell theory by determining that all cells originate from preexisting cells.
