  • General Information
  • General Information
  • Story
  • Child Labor, or some call it “Child slavery” is when a child under the age of 18, is forced into a workforce that’s illegal. This workforce causes children to be emotionally unstable, along with health issues from doing the work being forced.
  • Story
  • Some examples of Child Labor are working for factories, construction, brick kilns, mines, bars or agricultural purposes. Children are being forced into this brutal industry from poverty and limited access to education.
  • Solutions
  • Stop Child Labor!
  • Irwin Mainway was interviewed on Saturday Night Live, about his products being manufactured. Pretty Peggy Ear-Piercing Set, Mr. Skin-Grafter, General Tron's Secret Police Confession Kit and Johnny Switchblade were one of many products Mr Mainway produced. Most sound dangerous, right?

  • Well, all of these were produced by teenagers under the age of 18. “Teens work with radioactive materials; slaughtering cattle, hogs and poultry; and operating circular saws, band saws, chain saws, reciprocating saws, wood chippers and something called guillotine shears that I don't even want to think about.” (Horrigan) Most of these workers are 16 years or younger, making it even more dangerous to trust them with heavy machinery.
  • Things we can do is hold campaigns/groups against these child labour manufactures. We can also buy products that’re anti-child labor. They might be more expensive, but you know that you’re helping children being forced into this workforce.
