- Feudalism was a social system during Medieval Europe in which people worked and fought Nobles who gave them land and protection.
- Nobles
- Our Army is ready, my king!
- The pope was the top church leader in the kingdom. The Catholic Church was very powerful which made the pope very powerful and wealthy. The church received a tithe of 10 percent from the people which also made pope's very rich.
- Knights
- Lets Go!
- Fight!
- The monarch was the top leader of all land. However, he couldn't control all of the land, so he divided it upon Barons. The Barons gave the king loyalty and soldiers to the king in return. Finally, when the king died, his firstborn son would inherit the throne.
- Peasants
- I hate this!
- The Nobles ruled large areas of land called fiefs. Their job was to maintain an army and then report it directly to the king. If the Nobles refused to maintain an Army, they had to pay the king tax. This tax was called shield money.
- The knights ran the local manners. They could be called into war or battle by Barons and Monarchs. The knights owned everything on their land including crops, peasants, and their village.
- Most of the people during this time were peasants. They had a very terrible life and were strongly comparable to slaves. They worked a long 6 days a week and barely had enough food to survive.
