There was once a beautiful nymph Who loved to talk. Her name was Echo. The God Hera, wanted to catch her husband, Zeus, cheating, but Echo´s friends and family told her not to let Hera into the forest
One day came trying to catch Zeus, and Echo stopped her by chatting with her. Zeus got away and Hera was furious, and she cursed Echo. Echo could only repeat other´s words. Echo ran away from her home, devastated.

While running away, she saw Narcissus, and she instantly fell in love. Narcissus was a very beautiful man and he was staring at himself in the water, infatuated with his own beauty. She never spoke to him in person, since she only repeated words. Instead, she watched him from distance, while he looked at his reflection
Eventually, Narcissus and Echo both died. Neither had eaten, slept, or drank, both only looked at Narcissus. Echo
Gods felt pity for Narcissus and turned him into a flower called, the Narcissus. Echo died after him, and the only thing left after her death was her echoing voice. This story explains the existence of the Narcissus flower and echoes
