- The story begins with a kid named barnum who visits a young girls house. The girls name is charity and he wants her but the girls rich parents think it's unacceptable to be with a kid as poor as he is. later in life his dreams come true and they're together with 2 kids named in NYC.

- Barnum has started a circus which was his dream. after a little effort in hiring people for his business is coming alive and booming. on top of that he is getting a lot of attention from some famous people.

- P.T. Barnum's work at the circus got him lots of notice including the queen of england who invited him to a party for the riches. his friends who people say are ugly and unique from the circus wanted to join him but he was embarrassed that the rich people would be offended. so they busted through the door and sang about this is who they are and we can't change that.
- resolution / The Greatest Show
- Charity and Barnum were going through a rough patch because barnum focused and cared about jenny lind singing. because of this the circus burned down. When he went home charity sung about how their relationship was tight and she left the house and went back to her parents.
- Barnum was at bar feeling sorry for himself when the people who worked for him at the circus came in and said they didn't have a life before he started the circus and then you started treating us like everyone else does again. then he proceeded to sing about from now on I will be better nicer. then he went to the beach and got charity back.
- P.T. Barnum, charity, and the circus crew have been through a lot and it is all leading up to the moment. (the greatest show) I think it means this couldn't happen without all the earlier events in the story leading up to the great moment
