  • Life in medieval Times
  • Everyone, as long as you work in the fields for me you will get protection from the castle when you need it. Now go get back to work
  • Kings and Queens
  • I will give all of you land in exchange for your loyalty and military service. So if you do stuff for me than I will give you land
  • The Clergy
  • Finally one more sheet to copy.
  • -Brianna reel7th Grade
  • Nobles: Barons, Counts, Dukes, and Earles
  • You can have this piece of my land as long as you promise to be loyal and you also serve in the military. So it is a win for both of us. You get land and I get protection.
  • The Catholic church influenced everyone in the medieval ages. Catholic church formed helped to form the hierarchy they have, they also helped encourage to be good and loyal to their people so they can go to heaven
  • Knights
  • Monks can have big impacts on society. Monks do many different things but one of their jobs are to write and copy. By copying monks are preserving history which is making a huge impact on today and future generations. If it weren't for monks in the middle ages we might not know as much about them as we know today.
  • Peasants: Serfs and Freeman
  • Nobles are the second class people on the hierarchy. They are very wealthy and rich. Nobles get their land from the king by trading or by being rewarded. The nobles job in the land he owns/ his manor is to oversee and watch over all of the peasants and fiefs.
  • The knights that fought in wars were highly respected and praised. A lot of times in exchange for their service they would get land and money. The more wars they won, the more land they gained, which meant the more land soldiers got. So soldiers wanted to win wars.
  • If you work this land for me than in exchange I will provide you food rent and taxes.
  • Even though peasants got provided shelter and food they still had to pay to use the wine press, bread oven, and much more. The peasants had very little money so they didn't get to use the costly important things much. The king was the person making the money off of bread ovens and important things like that, so if anyone was caught making their own bread then they would get taxed. The serfs and freeman's life could be very harsh and rough sometimes.
  • Well, at least we get food and shelter
  • Life is so tiring do all of this hard labor, in the fields all day.
