  • Introduction to Mohenja-Dora
  • The largest Indus cities were named Harappa and Monenjo-Daro
  • The Indus valley was located along the Indus River that begins in the Himolayan mountains and ends at the Arabian sea.
  • Home
  • The homes were made out of mud brick. 
  • The cities were spread out in certain grids. 
  • Toilets, Shower Rooms, & Sanitation
  • We showered by putting water in a jar and dumping that on their heads
  • When we got to the bathroom, it goes through the drain, and goes into the streets.
  • Great Bath and religious purification
  • They would bathe in the morning and before entering a temple or religious site.
  • By cleaning themselves with water, they would clear there mind from bad thoughts and clean there souls from bad actions 
  • Use of seals
  • We use seals to mark our documents. 
  • The traders have used seals like labels, to show who owned stuff, like sacks of grain, or that the city tax had been paid.
  • Distant trade and trade products 
  • Traders would travel long distances in boats to exchange their goods.
  • Their main traders were Mesopotamia.
