  • A US ambassador to Mexico suggests that Mexico should sell Texas to the US. General Manual de Mier y Teran is sent to do an investigation on Texas and told the Mexican government to act fast or lose Texas forever. During this time the Centralist Government comes into power and it makes the colonists worried...Later on The Mier y Teran's report and anglos outnumbered the Mexicans which leads to the next cause.

  • This law stopped immigration to the USA and suspended the Empresarios contracts which caused the European and Mexican families to move. This law also stopped the introduction of slaves and they started to raise the taxes on foreign goods which made the colonists very mad.

  • A man named Mean Bradburn was American but supported and followed the Mexican Government. He did things that made the colonists mad like raise the taxes even moreand later they began to fight a small fight against him. But the colonists didn't have enough firepower so this lead to the next event.

  • This was the first battle of the Texas Revolution, a Mexican officer asked the people of Gonzales to give up their canon but they refused. The colonists marched up with the canon, which had a white flag with the words come and take it. The Texans had 160 people in their army but they still won. Other small battles between Mexican and Texan troops fueled the cry for independence. This lead to the next cause.

  • Texans meet at Washington-on-the-Brazos to decide if Texas would declare its independence. It was the Peace vs. War party, SFA was a part of the war party and they wanted to declare independence from Mexico. The peace party won and the war party pledged their loyalty to Mexico and said they would defend the constitution of 1824. This lead to the last cause.
  • While many Texans are meeting at the convention, Evil Santa has arrived in Texas and is fighting against the Texans. The Alamo starts on February,23 and the convention takes place on March 1st,1836. the purpose of the meeting is to establish an independent government. So they write the Texas Declaration of independence. The alamo falls and all the Texans are killed but this motivates Texans to keep fighting against Evil Santa.
