- Daedalus and Icarus
- As Daedalus was such a great inventor, King Minos wanted a suitable building to capture and imprison a minotaur, a mythical creature. Daedalus did agree to this but after he made this maze named the Labyrinth, he decided to place his enemies in this place to be eaten by the minotaur. This made the king very angry.
- GO! You must leave my country
- King Minos decided that because of this, he was to banish Daedalus from his country
- Icarus my son, we must leave.
- Ok Dad?
- Because of his actions, the son of Daedalus, Icarus, also had to leave so he formulated the plan to craft wings and have them fly away to somewhere else.
- Daedalus began to work on the wings and made them with wax and branches of osier.
- Daedalus decided to teach Icarus how to fly with the wings and what not to do.
- Take these wings of wax Icarus, I will teach you how to fly with them, but you must never fly too high as the sun will melt your wings and you will drown in the sea.
