Storyboard Text

  • Before airplanes, people had to use vehicles like ships and trains to get around. Ships & trains could make you motion or sea sick and would also take a lot of time getting from place to place. They could take weeks and months. It wasn't convenient for people to transport items and travel.
  • The turning point for airplanes was in 1903 CE, when the Wright brothers got their first plane to fly for 12 seconds. That proved that the creation of airplanes was possible and that complete, fully-functional airplanes were not too far away.
  • Soon, airplanes became more high-tech. They could last longer, fly higher and go farther. Many people could be seated at once, and airplane could carry lots of cargo and weight. People could sit on planes for hours, with food, and entertainment.
  • The innovation of airplanes affected resources by causing a lot of pollution and contamination with all the gases its uses. Airplanes need a lot of fuel and fuel is made of oil. We will run out of resources like oil with planes continuing to use massive amounts of it. Because of airplanes, lots of pollution is caused and valuable, non-renewable resources are being wasted.
  • The innovation of airplanes was revolutionary because then people could go to different parts of the world in much less time and more comfortably. People could discover new things, civilizations could begin around the world, cargo could be transported quicker, and it would be easier for people to interact and meet. Countries could sell and trade with each other, building a better economy. People didn't have to use ships or trains as much.
  • Going To Other Side Of The World
  • Only 15-20 Hours!
  • Airplanes will lead to progress in the future by becoming much bigger, and would fit many more people. By 2050 CE, people may find different ways to increase the speed of airplanes even more and have different energy-efficient airplanes which do not require as much fuel and oil, and hence, don’t cause as much pollution. Planes might become autopilot and completely fly by themselves.
