Storyboard Text

  • Caesar returns to Rome after beating Pompey in battle. Citizens are celebrating and enjoying the gossip. Two tributes, Marullus and Flavius aren't too pleased with the celebration of Caesar's victory.
  • He beat his ***!
  • Did you hear about the Caesar and Pompey fight? OMG it was crazy!
  • Of course! Marullus and Flavius aren't too happy about it though
  • I mean if he said no twice already, what'd you expect.
  • This is the third time you declined the king position, Caesar. This is a one in a lifetime opportunity.
  • No Antony. Now please get up.
  • Antony presents Caesar with the crown for the third time and Caesar declines each time. Although he refuses, there are some who aren't too convinced of his refusal. 'to my thinking, he would fain have had it'
  • Why is he on his knees right now..
  • Brutus feels Caesar's ambition will be too dangerous, causing him to join the conspirators. They plan to join Casear at the Capital the next day to murder him. 'Let's be sacrificers, not butchers'
  • You should join us!!
  • Caesar's ambition will be too dangerous
  • I'll just go out with Decius when she's asleep. She won't find out.
  • Okay Calphurnia! You win, I'll stay home.
  • You have to stay home. These dreams are REAL Caesar. What if you die?
  • Calphurnia, Caesar's wife warns Caesar to stay home due to her vivid dreams of his death. Little does she know, he plans to sneak away while she's asleep.
  • Finish it!!!
  • After arriving to the Capital, Caesar is met with the conspirators. In doubt that the plan will go through, they all kneel to Caesar then proceeds to stabbing him to death. In shock that his friend, Brutus was among murderers, Caesar says 'Et tu, Bruté?' as his final words.

  • WHAT HAPPENED TO CAESAR?
  • So here's what happened...
  • At Caesar's funeral, citizens of Rome demanded an explanation for Caesar's murder. Brutus leads the crowd on with logic, 'rather Caesar were living, and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all freemen?'. While the crowd is convinced, Antony comes in with the corpse showing his wounds with an explanation that turned the crowd against Brutus.
