- Here is the will, and under Caesar's seal: To every Roman citizen he gives, To every several man, seventy-five drachmas

- Cinna, Brutus, Casca, Antony, and many other senators went into the senate following Caesar. They all gathered around Caesar and Casca stabbed him, followed by the others and then finally Brutus. After being stabbed 23 times, Caesar said his final words to Brutus.
- Act III Scene III
- I am not Cinna the conspirator
- It is no matter, his name’s Cinna; pluck but his name out of his heart, and turn him going
- After the murder of Caesar, Brutus and Cassius enter the forum. Brutus speaks to one group of the plebeians while Cassius speaks to the other. They both announce the death of Julius Caesar to them.
- Antony reads out Caesars will to the plebeians. Caesars will left a sum of many to every citizen of Rome and he left his private parks and gardens for the public. The citizens were now outraged about the murder.
- Cinna the poet, who is not to be confused with Cinna the conspirator, takes a stroll across the city. A group of plebeians surrounds him and asks about his identity. The plebeians confuse him with the conspirator Cinna when he responds that his name is Cinna. The plebeians drag Cinna off and beat him to death, despite Cinna's protests that they have the wrong guy.
