- Do you know what makes an ecosystem, kids?
- Let me teach you!
- Not really, Ma'am. Can you tell us?
- It doesn't only benefit us humans but also the plants. These plants are called the producers.
- An ecosystem starts with the Sun, the earth moves around it and gives the Earth heat and light
- They are green plants that make their food by taking sunlight and using the energy to make sugar.
- Now, meet the primary producers. The primary producers are commonly called the herbivores. These are animals that feed on plants.
- Secondary consumer is a carnivore that feeds only upon herbivores.
- Next, is the tertiary consumer. They are also a carnivores but at the topmost level in a food chain that feeds on other carnivores. Humans also belong in this level
- Lastly is the, decomposers. These are organism that breaks down dead organic material .
- These are the scavengers, they are organism that mostly consumes rotten or decaying meat.
