- Peasants overthrew the Yuan during the red turban rebellion which ended in 1368, and from their Hongwu took over starting the Ming dynasty

- Emperor Hongwu of China Built a City where only him, his servants, and guards could stay
- Zheng He was a great explorer travelling and making trade routes and Emperor Hongwu was fine with his expeditions
- After the Death of Emperor Hongwu His son Yongle closed china off from the rest of the world and they looked inward

- Eventually the Ming were also overthrown but the Ming were overthrown by the Manchu who took over and created the last famous dynasty, The Qing
