  • After carrying a protest against Juarez's and Lerdo's presidency, Diaz became president in 1877, for almost three and a half decades.
  • Regardless of Diaz's poor governance, he managed to make Mexico an industrialized country; Building factories, dams, railroads, etc.
  • Campesinos, being the back bone of the revolution, were disappointed on the lack of good president that Diaz was and the poor treatment they were under.
