- The Midwest
- They are very different and hopefully after we are finished explaining you will understand it!
- In the Northeast we have very rocky soil so instead of farming people trade
- It is very densely populated and there are mostly European settlers

- It is the smallest land area of the 5 regions
- The South has the richest soil of all the regions.
- The climate is humid, wet, and hot so it very good for farming.

- The farming lifestyle is dry, hot, not much rain, and tornadoes.
- Did you know that the Midwest has the Great Lakes and Great Plains?
- The Midwest is known for producing iron works and coal
- Missouri is a Gateway Arch monument is located in St. Louis
- Farmers in this area grow Cotton and Alfalfa

- In terms of industry, the government has several sites that revolve around energy and nuclear research
- This region is known for the Rocky Mountains and Arizona deserts
- Located in the western coastal region. The climate is overcast, rainy, cold, and very little sunlight

- Forest areas are protected by the gov’t California has mountain ranges
