- At Bunker Hill the colonists and the British were at war because the British were trying to protect the seaport and the colonists were trying to take control. The colonists secretly moved their troops to Bunker hill and built up fortifications during the night and prepared for battle. The next day the British found out and attacked, the Colonists started to run out of ammunition and lost the battle.
- Valley Forge
- In New York, the British captured the colonists and there were 868 prisoners held captive. As the colonists were trying to escape the British in New York they swam to the nearest place over in New Jersey. The colonists tried to fight back but there wasn't enough men to support the Americans.
- Saratoga
- Ugh! They have more people fighting, were never gonna win!
- During Christmas time in New Jersey the colonists and people of America were joyful and cheerful. The British found this time a perfect time to sneak attack up on the colonists. The British hired the Hessians,[ German spies] to attack the colonists on boats but the Americans fought back and won this battle. For the colonists when they won it boosted morale.
- Yorktown
- Yes! We are now free!
- Valley Forge was a very hard. Both the British and the Colonists didnt have enough materials to keep fighting in the war. During this time the colonists were training hard and had to survive with the extreme cold and barely any food. They had tablespoons of vinegar and rice.
- I am so tired and cold!
- We have to keep trying!
- In the battle of Saratoga that takes place in New York, the French come and help the colonists fight the war. The French saw that the Americans were winning and because of them the Americans had a huge win. Due to the amount of support they had the colonists won.
- French: we are coming to help!
- The battle of Yorktown takes place in Virginia. The patriots won because the British called off the war and gave up. America is now free.
- we are done! We give up.
