  • You shouldn't use electrical equipment near water because water is an excellent conductor of electricity. So if you did use electrical equipment near a water you could get an electric shock. You should also make sure you have dry hands before using any electrical equipment.
  • Don't use electrical equipment near a water source like a sink.
  • You should keep small children away from outlets because if they were to have wet fingers or find a piece of metal, and put their fingers or a piece of metal inside the outlet they can get badly electrocuted. To be safe around children you should put safety caps on all unused or reachable outlets.

  • Overloading outlets can be dangerous because it can start a fire. When you put too many cords in an outlet your outlet can't handle it since it is only given a certain amount of electricity. So when there are too many cords the cords overheat and can start a fire.

  • Putting items on a lamp is very dangerous. When you put an item on a lamp, it can heat up from the lamp and start a fire.
  • Don't put items on lamps.
  • You should stay away from overhead power lines because if you were to have some sort of object that could reach the powerline like a kite. It can touch the power line, and electricity can flow through the kite and on to you which can get you electrocuted. Fallen power lines can also be dangerous because when they fall it keeps its charge. So if you were to touch or even be close to a fallen power line you could get electrocuted. So it is best to stay 10 meters away from a fallen power line.
  • Stay away from fallen or overhead powerlines.
