Odysseus and his crew made a big mistake eating in the cave. All of a sudden they were trapped in! The great cyclops: Polyphemus doesn't listen to fools and devours 2 of Odysseus's men. Odysseus tells thw cyclops that his name is nobody.
Later on, Polyphemus decides to have a nice rest. Odysseus comes up with a master plan to escape the dark cave. But first, he and his remaining crew need something sharp!
Odysseus and his crew forge a sharp steak and proceed to stab the cyclops right in his eye! Polyphemus cries for help and says "Nobody! Nobody's trying to kill me!" His friends think that he is just playing games with them.
Now's their chance to escape! Polyphemus lets out his sheeps and moves the boulder blocking the entrance
Odysseus hides himself and his crew under the sheep to exit the cave unsuspiciously. They wait patiently till dawn to make a run for their boats.
As they sail off, Odysseus gets full of himself and boasts to the cyclops which angers him even more. Polyphemus calls to his father Poseidon to seek revenge, and so he did. Poseidon is now hunting down Odysseus to make sure he doesn't get home.
