- Hey Carla, i heard you were talking about Genetic Engineering do you know that Genetic Engineering helps the great farmers?
- Good afternoon students, yes Kim you're right Genetic Engineering is helping the farmers to have good quality products to harvest by avoiding the pests. I thin you really studied to be prepared for our lesson later.
- Kim asked Sean if he had any ideas about Genetic Engineering while they were on the school bus. Kim and Sean are classmates and the Genetic Engineering will be their lesson in the class later.

- Kim heard her friend Carla discussing to her other groups about Genetic Engineering. They didn't notice that their professor was at the back and listening to what they were discussing. The professor joined the conversation.

- I am thinking if genetic engineering is good or bad?
- Genetic Engineering has benefits in agriculture like reduced costs for food or drug production, enhanced nutrient composition and food quality and medical benefits to the world’s growing population.
- The two students made a bet for who will be the student that will recite more and do have more knowledge about the topic. And in five minutes the professor starts the discussion.
- The teacher discusses the whole topic all about Genetic Engineering until the class ends. *No one wins the bet because both Kim and Sean have the same scores.*
- The purpose of Genetic Engineering is that it allows the scientist to choose one specific gene to implant. It avoids introducing other genes to undesirable traits. It also helps us to create new foods with desired traits quickly.
- The class dismissed and Carla had one question that she didn’t ask the professor a while ago so she asked it to her friend Kim.
