- Glucose, also known as a simple sugar, is the first reactant. It is vital for cellular respiration to take place because cells require it to function and consumers, like humans, need it. The glucose is taken from photosynthesis and is used as an energy source.
- WATER LEAVING THE BODY
- Oxygen is another reactant involved in cellular respiration. Since humans are heterotrophs, they don't make their own food and rely on other things to provide sustenance. Aerobic respiration also requires oxygen, and is responsible for breaking down food and converting it into energy. This process takes place in the mitochondria of a cell.
- ENERGY GETTING STORED IN THE BODY
- Carbon dioxide is a byproduct of cellular respiration. It is removed as a result of exhaling. The carbon dioxide is a waste product that is released into the atmosphere.
- CELLULAR RESPIRATION CONCLUSION
- Just like carbon dioxide, water is also a waste product. It is another byproduct that can also be removed through breathing out.

- Energy, also referred to as ATP, is the product of cellular respiration that is in charge of providing energy to the cells. The unstable energy source is stored in the cells of the heterotroph and kept to power them and the body.
- ENERGY
- Cellular respiration is important because it takes glucose and breaks it down to use as energy. The glucose comes from photosynthesis and in turn helps to power cell functions. To conclude, it can be said that photosynthesis is the first step in order for cellular respiration to happen.
