- France really needs a break to recover
- Napoleon Established the bank of France in the year 1800, to stabilize the french economy, especially after the recession during the revolution. He also encouraged small bushiness, providing them with loans from the bank .

- In 1801, it put the Catholic Church under Frances/Napoleon's control, while still allowing Catholics religious freedom. This also gave the first consul(Napoleon) the right to choose bishops. Catholicism was practiced by most of France but was not declared it's state religion. This allowed religious freedom under napoleons rule.

- In 1803, after many months of fighting against the rebels in Saint Domingue, and Touissaint L'Ouverture arrest soon after, Napoleon wanted to reintroduce slavery back into Haiti. This was especially horrible considering that L'Ouverture abolished slavery in Haiti previously. This led to a revolt against french rule and will the help of the british ended in a victory against the french.

- Louisiana Purchase
- The Louisiana purchase of 1803, was the selling of the french territory of Louisiana to America for 15 million dollars. Napoleon was trying to sell it so they could have the money for the ongoing wars with Britain and other European powers, which benefits France in terms of being able to pay, and helps america because they were able to double the size of the U.S., become more powerful, and enable them to begin westward expansion.

- On March 21, 1804, the Napoleonic code was enacted. It got rid of the feudal system and the dues of the pleasantry, as well as made every MAN equal. However, it did not mention women in the code, which meant women were more under there husbands control, and deprived them from their individual rights. The Napoleonic code also included freedom of religion and property rights.

- Napoleon invasion of Russia
- On June 24, 1812, Napoleon invaded Russia, to enforce the continental system (allies with France don't trade with Britain) also to free poland from russian threat. This caused the loss of hundreds of thousands soldiers as well as the brutal defeat of the british.
