Storyboard Text

  • I must kill him
  • what if they come after me
  • no
  • do I want to be a murderer?
  • Why should he live?
  • DO it
  • I have to avenge Shawn
  • The first rising action was when Will was in the streets around many people and he suddenly heard gunshots. He looked around only to find his brother, Shawn, on the ground, dead.
  • Will knows that the only way to avenge his brother is to find his murderer, and to do to him what he did to Shawn. After finding a gun, Will set off to find him. He got onto an elevator, not sure what his next move should be. At the next floor, the elevator ride took an odd turn when Buck, an old friend of Shawn gets onto the elevator. The strange part is that Buck died years before.
  • Throughout the story, Will couldn't decide what he should do. He felt like he should kill the murderer but kept second-guessing himself, causing conflict to form between him and himself.
  • The climax occurred when the next ghost that came onto the elevator was Will's dad. Will was little when he died and doesn't remember much of him. Will's dad explained to him that when he tried to get revenge, he killed the wrong boy. This causes Will to question himself more and the conflict grew stronger.
  • The last person Will talked to was Shawn. Shawn was able to let Will know that he was okay and to tell him that killing the murderer wasn't worth it. All the friends and family in the elevator were trying their hardest to influence Will to not go for him.
  • In the end, the problem wasn't solved. The story ends with the elevator stopping at the bottom floor and Will is forced to make his final decision: to stay innocent or to kill.
