- One grey afternoon, Max Magnesium was sitting on a bench wondering who would ever want his two electrons
- I just want to bond with a non-metal that needs my two electrons!
- That same dreary afternoon, Selena Sulfur was wondering what alkaline earth metal was still single willing to give away two electrons.

- Damn I am lonely. Almost every other non-metal has bonded with somebody. I just want to be an anion

- After Max Mg decided to stop sulking, he went for a walk to look for Argon...
- I'm going to go look for Aaron Ar, he's a noble gas and seems completely fine on his own.

- Max went to the Noble Gas Lounge, and had a chat with Aaron
- So Aaron I came to tell you that I haven't managed to bond with any non-metals and I wanted to know how you don't mind being alone?

- Well Max, I am in a stable position where I don't need anybody to bond with. But you do
- So the only advice I can give you is to find a reactive non- metal that wants your two electrons
