- ACT 4, SCENE 4
- To tell the truth, we're fighting to win a little patch of ground that's not worth anything.

- She's talking about her dead father.

- When Fortinbras and his army cross Hamlet's path on their way to Poland. Hamlet finds that Fortinbras's wants revenge avenging his father's murder. The Captain informed Hamlet that Fortinbras was going too war for a worthless piece of land

- ...a pirate ship equipped for battle pursued us.
- Hamlet had murdered Polonius. Claudius and Gertrude had brought Ophelia out of the room and were able to witness her lose her mind while grieving over her fathers death.
- ACT 4, SCENE 7
- If he's come back to Denmark without plans to continue on his trip, then I'll trick him into an undertaking, which I'm working out now, that's sure to kill him.
- Laertes was angry about his fathers death. He started to accuse Claudius of murdering him. But then Claudius told Laertes he was also grieving over Poloinus death and claimed to be innocent.
- ACT 4. SCENE 7
- Revenge should have no limits.
- Horatio is given a letter from Hamlet telling of the prince's boarding of a pirate ship and his subsequent return to Denmark.
- They want me to do a favor for them.
- Claudiusfinds one of Horatio'sletters from Hamlet announcing the prince's return to Denmark.
- Claudius brings Laertes aside to discuss his plan to murder Prince Hamlet. They discuss to poison him during a friendly dual of fencing with a poisoned blade instead of a regular blunted sword.
- I bought some oil so poisonous that if you dip a knife in it, no medicine in the world can save the person...
