Storyboard Text
Hi my name is Sally, and I am here to tell you about the 6 stages of erosion
Rocks are worn away by acid rain or physical processes.
The broken pieces of rocks are carried away by water, wind, ice or gravity
Sediments (broken pieces of rock) are carried away by ice, wind, rivers and oceans
When water is not moving fast enough to carry the rocks they settle to the bottom of the river, lake or ocean
As layers of rock build up, the bottom layer is under more pressure until the rocks get compacted
Dissolved materials in the water solidify and cement the rocks together.
