  • Step 1: Fill a bowl with fresh water.Step 2: Mix baking soda into the water. This will provide the carbon dioxide that a plants needs to produce oxygen.Step 3: Place an aquatic plant inside a drinking glass.Step 4: Place the glass in sideways until the glass fills with water and no bubbles. Turn the glass upside down and let rest on bottom of the bowl.Step 5: Aim the light at the bowl and watch for bubbles to form on the leaves.
