  • In December of 1918, US President Woodrow Wilson presented the Fourteen Points speech in Paris. This speech outlined his ideas for peace after WW1. This also mentioned the formation of the League of Nations

  • Although popular in other countries, the Republicans in US opposed this as they were worried about American Autonomy in International matters. As a result, they did not join the League of Nations
