- Charles II was ‘restored’ to the throne in 1660, after the tyrannical rule of Oliver Cromwell
- On his deathbed, Charles II said he was catholic, and hid brother, the new catholic King James II was next in line for the throne
- The Restortaion was atime of stientiic developemt, thetere, and poetyr.
- In 1666, after an epidemic of the plague Londn caught on fire. This was known as the Great Fire of London
- James II closed parliament, and he wanted everybody be Catholic. In 1688, 7 noble men sent letter to William of Orange to invade.
