- The 3 main type of landforms are, Plains, Mountains, and the coast!
- weathering
- There are 3 types of weathering, physical, chemical and biological
- Erosion
- Did you know that the Grand Canyon is being eroded at a rate of 0.3 metres every 200 years?
- A natural feature of the earth's surface, such as mountains, volcanos, riverscapes, plains and the coast.
- World Heritage site (WHS)
- There is a total of 1,121 World Heritage sites!
- the breaking down or dissolving of rocks and minerals on Earths surface.
- Tectonics
- Erosion is the geological process in which earthen materials are worn away and transported by natural forces such as wind or water.
- Continents
- a natural or man-made site, area, or structure recognized as being of outstanding international importance and therefore as deserving special protection. Sites are nominated to and designated by the World Heritage Convention (an organization of UNESCO).
- Tectonics are the processes that control the structure and properties of the Earth's crust and its evolution through time.
- Tectonic plates can cause Earthquakes, tsunami's and volcano eruptions!
- Continents are a large land mass separated from other land masses by oceans.
- Our 7 continents are Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America, and South America
