- Okay, so I'm going to sell you 1000 pounds of apples for 4$ a pound which would be 4000$. Does that price work for you?

- You know, this is my 20th and last time filling up 50 gallons of diesel gas for my truck! Isn't that a lot of gas?
- But then people wouldn't have their food. I still think it's fine.

- That is actually a lot, but diesel is especially bad for the environment?
- But if the environment keeps getting damaged then we won't even be able to grow more food! The world will be completely polluted!

- Well, I don't know the exact carbon footprint for the apple that came from Wenatchee, Washington, or the energy used to produce it, but I do know that it used a lot of energy, and its carbon footprint was probably big...but maybe next time I'll buy an apple grown locally to reduce the carbon footprint
