  • Act 1, Scene 1
  • These many, then, shall die. Their names are pricked.
  • I do consent—
  • Your brother too must die. Consent you, Lepidus?
  • Act 1, Scene 1
  • Brutus and CassiusAre levying powers. We must straight make head.Therefore let our alliance be combined
  • Act 1, Scene 2
  • Brutus, this sober form of yours hides wrongs. And when you do them—
  • Antony, Octavius and Lepidus gather at Lepidus's house and discuss which people they are going to kill. Once Lepidus leaves, Antony talks to Octavius about him, comparing him to a horse, and expresses his doubts about him.
  • Act 1, Scene 2
  • There is my dagger.And here my naked breast.
  • Antony shifts the focus to Cassius and Brutus, and goes on about how they need to be killed.
  • Act 1, Scene 2
  • That by proscription and bills of outlawry,Octavius, Antony, and LepidusHave put to death an hundred senators.
  • While Brutus and his men are at the camp. Lucillus tells Brutus that Cassius is growing more irritated with Brutus. Then Cassius arrives and confronts Brutus, saying that he betrayed him. Brutus denies it.
  • Act 1, Scene 3
  • To tell thee thou shalt see me at Philippi.
  • Brutus and Cassius go back and forth. Cassius accuses Brutus of unfaithfulness, and Brutus denies it. Then Cassius takes out a dagger. He says he doesn't have the will to live anymore and offers Brutus the dagger to kill him. Shortly afterwards, they forgive and embrace each other.
  • Brutus and Cassius drink wine, and then the audience hears about Brutus' troubles, including the death of Portia. Then Titinus and Massala enter, and inform them that the Triumvirate: Octavius, Antony and Lepidus, have killed 100 senators.
  • After the others left for Phillipi, Brutus was reading and a ghost, that appears to be that of Caesar, enters. The ghost says that he will see him at Phillipi. When the ghost leaves. Brutus asks the servants if they saw anything. They say no.
